Can I go to the gym after my remedial massage?
Some say that receiving a massage pre-workout is a good thing, allows the muscles to warmed up and stretched out so you’re more flexible. It can also put you in the right state of mind for the best workout. However, this only works when the massage therapist focuses on very light strokes rather than deep tissue massage as this can lead to muscle soreness and tightness. We suggest using a remedial massage to help with reducing soreness and tightness AFTER a workout. If you are still persistent to hit the gym after a massage, it’d be best to wait a few hours to give your muscles time to settle.
