It’s always fun to spend time in the sauna and sweating it out with your family members, best friends and partners. For every extra person in the sauna, we’ll charge $10 more to your session. How do I prepare for my sauna session?
Let’s begin with how many people are attending your session with you. Our Sauna in PtCookChiro fits two people while the sauna at MLifeChiro can fit three! We ask that you bring a couple towels with you, one to sit on (sometimes people bring one for their feet), one to wipe the sweat from your body during the session and maybe one for clean before you leave. A bottle of water is always nice to bring, we will also provide a bottle of water at every session. We don’t have a shower facility, but we’ll give you 10mins max after your session has finished to change and freshen up.
At what age can I begin using the sauna?
Studies show that children under the age of 8 cannot regulate heat as well as teens and adults can. However, children are welcome to use the infrared sauna as heat levels can be controlled. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Who should NOT use the sauna?
Researches say there are minimal dangers associated with infrared saunas. Thermotherapy has proven to provide a number of health benefits such as lowering blood pressure, however, those with low blood pressure or cardiovascular issues may want to discuss the use of saunas with a healthcare provider such as Dr. Alfie, to mediate the use of the sauna.
Can I go to the gym after my sauna session?
We’ve noticed that even walking out of the sauna has made clients a little bit dizzy and light-headed due to the warmth and heat. However, if you are feeling okay nad staying hydrated, there’s nothing stopping you from trying to fit in a workout after a relaxing time in the sauna
What is an Infrared Sauna?
Infrared Thermotherapy is the method of using light and heat to treat acute or chronic pain. Unlike a traditional steam sauna, infrared saunas don’t heat the air around you but rather warm your body directly. Being simple and painless, the Infrared Sauna makes you sweat like crazy! Along with the sweating, toxins are released from your body, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and fresh. Here are our Sauna Sessions: Breve – 30min Mezzo – 45min Lunggo – 1hr
If you haven’t tried the Infrared Sauna before, we suggest starting with a 30min session and slowly build up to using the sauna for a longer period of time!
How long should I use the sauna?
It never hurts to start off slow. For people who haven’t used a sauna, more specifically an infrared sauna, we suggest starting with a 30min session. It will take about 10-15min before your body gets used to the heat and begins to break a sweat. If you feel you can last in the heat for longer than 30min, try our 45min session in the sauna. Slowly but surely, you’ll be able to last one whole hour in no time! Here are our Sauna Sessions: Breve – 30min Mezzo – 45min Lunggo – 1hr
Can I go to the gym before my sauna session?
If anything, we highly recommend going to the gym before your sauna session! Since working out makes you sweat while using your body, entering into the Infrared Sauna allows your body to continue releasing extra toxins through sweating, continuing the process of metabolism in the body and allow your body to slow down back to a normal pace.
